Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information Datakaroo collects and how it is used. We keep it short because our data practices are short. Contact for anything privacy-related: [email protected].
1. What we collect from customers
When you email us or place an order: your name, email address, company details, billing information, and the content of our correspondence. Card details are handled entirely by our payment processor (Paystack) — we never see or store them.
2. How we use it
To deliver what you ordered, respond to you, invoice you, and meet legal obligations (such as South African tax record-keeping). We do not sell your information, share it with advertisers, or add you to marketing lists without your consent.
3. Business contact data in our products
Our lead lists contain business contact information (names, roles, companies, business emails) compiled from publicly available business sources. We process this data on the legal basis of legitimate interest in business-to-business commerce, source it only from public materials, and honour removal requests: any individual may have their details removed from our datasets by emailing [email protected] — we action removals within 7 days.
4. Your rights
Under POPIA (South Africa) and, where applicable, GDPR: you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and object to processing. Email us and we will respond within 7 days. If unsatisfied, you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) or your local authority.
5. Storage and security
Email and business records are stored with reputable providers (Zoho Mail, Cloudflare) with two-factor authentication enabled. We keep records only as long as needed for the purposes above or as law requires.
6. Cookies
datakaroo.com sets no marketing or tracking cookies. Our infrastructure provider (Cloudflare) may set strictly-necessary security cookies to protect the site.
